Goodbye Apartment, Hello New House!

Well, first off, let me apologize for being the worst blogger ever.  But I have an excuse!  We’re building a house!

Okay, so let me back up a little.  We’ve been house hunting for a while now and just could not find the right house for us in the current market.  Well, I was getting frustrated, so we started looking into new builds, not even imagining that we would be able to afford it.  Well, I was wrong!  One of the best builders in Tallahassee was able to build a gorgeous house for us in a really cute new neighborhood.  The only downside was that it would add about a 20 minute commute to work for me.

Well, after a ton of debating, I decided that the drive was not going to deter us from a house we really liked, so we went under contract!

Let me introduce you to our new home!  Well, what will be our new home in 4 months.

All our financing is complete, so now we’re just waiting for the permits to be finished so that they can start building.

I’m having a hard time containing my excitement and just want to tell everyone that I bump into on the street that we’re building a new house.  But I won’t.  Because that’s weird.

I’ll be sharing the entire process with you on the blog, from the good to the bad.  I couldn’t leave my readers out of one of the most exciting processes of my life!
